As a commitment to proliferate the debating skills among students in Malang and East Java as a whole, Malang Debating Union proudly present an annual program named MASTER. It stands for Malang High School Debate Tournament. We invite you to "Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Dies" with the facilities and tournaments that is extraordinary. So many interesting experiences and prizes you will get, proven by how the team which comes up as The Champion of MASTER will get fresh money, trophy and certificate. Plus, A Golden Ticket will also be given for the champion of MASTER 2014. You'll meet various opponents and various speakers also various adjudicators here in Malang High School Debate Tournament. Those will enrich you with so many experiences in debating. Very interesting, isn't it?

Debate

Briefly, debate is a competition where two teams, consisting of 3 speakers each, will put forward their arguments on given motion. The system used in MASTER 2013 is the Asian Parliamentary System. This competition is divided in a form of tournament where it will be divided into four preliminary rounds where the winning team will advance to the next round until the two remaining meet at the final round. It aims to develop critical mindsets, sharpen the knowledge in various aspects, built confidence for public speaking and add new experience for this globalization era.

When and Where

This year MASTER will be held on December 12th - 14th, 2014 in Universitas Islam Negeri Malang or UIN Malang. 

Quota

40 team caps with maximum 3 teams / institution.
